Typewriter or Rolodex? Which one are you?

Last week LFD made a fabulous dinner of his meatloaf and macaroni & cheese and corn on the cob.  I just have to say, for early in the season, the corn was FABULOUS!!!  So sweet and tasty.  Here’s where your input comes in.  There are different techniques within the house about how you are supposed to eat corn on the cob.  Without dwelling on the fact that LFD continues to make fun of me anytime I try to eat anything.  He has this insane fascination with my self admittedly larger than normal human teeth.  He watched as I concentrated on eating my corn.  Here are the two different methods of corn of the cob consumption in our house.

My method:

I eat my corn on the cob end-to-end style…like a typewriter…ding!!!

LFD’s method:

He eats his corn on the cob around and around and around (I need to stop saying “around”
because it makes me dizzy)…like a rolodex.

So how do you eat your corn.  Note: LF also eats her corn on the cob typewriter style..I couldn’t be prouder to pass on such a FABULOUS genetic trait!!!

DING!!! Typewriter thank you very much. I find the rolodex method to be inefficient in keeping the butter:corn ratio intact.

Definitely typewriter style.. I love corn on the cob, now I want some. YUM!!

typewriter. and gotta get every last kernel, too. thank you very much.

Ok, I’m the weird one, I kinda do ….both? I’ll start out going semi around the end, then do a typewriter across, then I’ll hold it, examine it, and perhaps go down a little (ok this is not sounding good) and then start to go across again. OMG, I gotta stop..lol

I hate hate hate corn on the cob! It always gets stuck in my teeth, and I am overly sensitive to that feeling, so I generally cut it off with a knife and eat it with a fork. I had a dog when I was a kid though, who definitely ate it typewriter style.

Typewriter, 100% and every kernel.

I came via the Links of Love and your daughter is gorgeous. Nice blog.

Seriously?! I didn’t think there was any other way than the typewriter. Great post and I’m also here via the List.

Typewriter. Soaked in butter, 2 rows at a time so it always looks neat (thank my godfather for the neat thing).. I’m so excited that its corn on the cob season!!

I come from a whole family of typewriters. Which I believe tips the scale in favor of typewriters. ;-)
