Day 3 – Thankful for my mom…

Today I wanted so badly to write a post about being thankful for my daughter, but I want to save that post for her monthly birthday post on the 14th.  So instead, today you get a post about how thankful I am for my mom.  She may never read this, but that’s okay she knows prezactly how I feel about her, although she would probably want to print it out if she knew I said all these nice things I’m about to say about her and put this post in her “box” of “nice notes and cards”.  (that’s a story for another time)

Anyway, I am thankful that I have my mom.  I am thankful that I didn’t have some other mom.  I can’t imgaine who I would be today if I had any other mom but “my mom”.  I, no doubt would be a totally different person if I were someone else’s daughter.

My mom is my rock.  My mom is unconditional love.  My mom cracks me up.  My mom is the best hugger.  My mom listens.  My mom understands.  My mom has a heart of gold.  My mom appreciates.  My mom makes me smile.  My mom is a math wizz (I did not inherit that gene, sorry mom!).  My mom is amazing.  My mom saved my life.  My mom is my best friend.

There are way too many details to get into when it comes to the relationship between my mom and me.  We have a relationship I can only pray I can have with Li’l Foot one day.  When I do certain things throughout my day, I often find myself wondering, what would mom do?  I know people make jokes about the saying “mirror, mirror on the wall, I am my mother afterall”! To be honest, I hope I can be like my mom.  She’s good to me.  She’s good my hubie, she loves Li’l Foot and I love watching them together.  It’s those memories of those moments together that I want to remember forever.

I love my mom and I am so thankful to have her in my life, in my little family’s life.  Thank you mom for being you.  I love you.

  1. How sweet! You should print this out and give it to your momma. :)

  2. Definitely give to Mom! But you better give her a box of tissues, too!

  3. It’s easy to be a mom who is loved and respected when you have such great kids as I do. They have been MY ROCK and held my hand so I didn’t trip over some of the bumps in Life’s road.
