This is my time of year. I happened to notice about 2 weeks ago the leaves here in the Northeast have begun to do their colorful dance. They up and change their color and then they flutter to the ground in a beautiful multicolor stream. Some hang on longer than others and some float on the wings of the wind only be left on the ground far away from it’s friends and the tree it fell from. Every fall I am reminded of a book called, “The Fall of Freddie the Leaf“. It was one of my dad’s favorite books and although it is a sort of support-group-book on the topic of death, it’s really a beautiful book and every time I read it I love it. The fall season makes me happy. I look forward to the fall for various reasons:

1) This is going to be the perfect opportunity for photo ops with Li’l Foot in the pumpkin patch. Squeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!!!!

2) The crisp clean air mornings.

3) FOOTBALL!!! Go Pats!!! P – A – T – S…PATS, PATS, PATS!!!

4) Snuggling into a sweatshirt and yoga pants and curling up on the couch.

5) Firing up the wood pellet stove and being mesmerized by the fire.

6) Hot chocolate or Hot tea with honey and lemon.

7) Apple picking and the hot apple cider and donuts at the apple orchard.

Our annual trip up to Yankee Candle in Massatwoshits!!! This will be our 2nd annual…who’s with us?

9) Fall foliage.

10) MY BIRTHDAY!!!! Wahoo!!!

Hopefully this fall will bring a trip up to Maine to visit DreaBea or to Vermont to visit my aunt. We’ll have to see how that plays out though. I’ve got no vacation time left that hasn’t been accounted for for the rest of the year so if anyone wants to loan me some I’d be happy to take it off your hands. Just let me know in advance so I can plan accordingly.
